Wow, shit’s been mad hectic the last wek or so. It’s Friday now & I’m now inside of the 48-hour countdown ’till I leave for Asia for a WHOLE month! Well, 28 days. That’s considered a month, right? Once I’m inside of the 48-hour window, my heart starts to beat a little faster, I can’t sit still, I start making lists of stuff to bring, and I basically just get so excited that I can’t relax. Weird, huh!?
Jason Carnes was @ my house all last weekend. He usually dips into So Cal when he can in between races. We had a good time while he was here. We had a bunch of BBQ’s, hit up a night out on the town in HB, and rode around Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, & Hermosa Beach one day with Javier Colombo. We actually ran into Christophe Leveque & his kid in Hermosa. It’s always cool to hang with the Flying Frenchman.
Sorry for the lack of updates, but like I said, shit was mad hectic. I’m flying out this coming Sunday afternoon to Hong Kong. Then heading over to China to work @ our factory for a bit. Fromthere I’m flying into Bangkok & I’m gonna chill on some islands in Southern Thailand & also head over to Cambodia to explore Siam Reap & Phnom Phen. Then after all of that, I’m going back to China for the catalog photoshoot of our bikes. I’m gonna be gone for 28 days(!). It’s gonna be a good ass, wild trip as usual. My buddy James is supposed to meet up with me in Bangkok. Well, that’s if he gets his freakin’ passport in time. Hope so!
Keep an eye on the site here. I’m pretty sure that I’ll have some wild pics to post. Cambodia!? I’ve never been there yet & I have no idea what to expect. Can’t wait. -Oh, and not that I’m counting or anything, but this’ll be the 40th country that I’ve been to. Good times ahead.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Carnes & I stopped over @ Alan Foster’s house the other day to see him after his broken back from 4 weeks ago. He says that he’s healing up nicely & will probably have a FULL 100% recovery. Cool! He said that the doctors told him he was milimeters from being paralyzed. So we’re all thankful that he came out of it as good as he did. He did say that his trail riding days may be over though. But who could blame him? Would you ever ride trails again if you had to wear a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle’s outfit? Ha ha…
