I bet you thought I have forgotten all about this site, huh!? Nope! I’ve just been busy with a ton of other things this summer. And more importantly, this entire site is gonna get redone with a focus on some of my crazy stories from over the years. I’m gonna give a behind-the-scenes look at some of the WILD & CRAZY things that I’ve seen & done over the years. On, and off the bike. It’s gonna be a no-holds barred look at some wild times. And don’t worry. I’m not gonna censor a thing. Nobody is safe! Ha ha…

Hold tight. I plan to have the new site up & running by mid August. Oh, and peep some of the pics below to get an idea of what’s to come….

I’m BACK!! http://toddlyons.com/2010/07/im-back/ http://toddlyons.com/2010/07/im-back/#comments Thu, 15 Jul 2010 12:37:20 +0000 Todd http://toddlyons.com/?p=1721 Wowsers, my site had some troubles for a while. But with the help of Robbie Miranda & Mike Carruth from www.VINTAGEBMX.com, I got it all hooked up again!

My site is gonna be COMPLETELY changed up pretty soon & it’ll be focused on the “Days of the Wildman” stories that show a behind the scenes look of the BMX world. If you didn’t know by now, I’ve got a TON of stories to be told from over the years. I’ll still be updating it with current stuff as well, so no worries there.

Check out some of the pics from last weekend at Sheep Hills. Eiichi Yabu from Japan shot the pics. His photo skills are dope! Thanks Eiichi!

G-Funk Tuesday! http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/g-funk-tuesday/ http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/g-funk-tuesday/#comments Thu, 10 Jun 2010 18:42:37 +0000 Todd http://toddlyons.com/?p=1689 So the other night Robbie Miranda & I posse’d up with the G-Funk riding crew from Long Beach. Robbie & I & a bunch of other riders (mainly BMXers) have been doing group road rides every other Tue night in the streets of Orange County. But this past Tuesday, Robbie & I decided to change up the game. So we drove up to Long Beach & met up with the G-Funk crew & tagged along with them for a ride from Long Beach to Los Angles. It was a 30+ mile ride that took us through the mean streets of LA & finished up right past the Staples Center in LA. We got our grub on @ a Korean restaurant & then hopped on the blue line train back to Long Beach. The ride was a blast & the G-Funk crew was cool as heck. We didn’t get back ’till @ 1am. It’s so fun cruising the streets late at night. It’s like “The City is Ours!”

Props to the F-Funk crew. See ya next time!

TL Trading Cards http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/tl-trading-cards/ http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/tl-trading-cards/#comments Wed, 09 Jun 2010 16:28:38 +0000 Todd http://toddlyons.com/?p=1683 It didn’t seem like a big deal at the time, but now looking back, having a Trading Card with you on it is pretty freakin’ cool. The first one below was from a company called http://www.presspassinc.com/. These were actually sold in sporting good stores in packs of other “extreme” athletes.  I remember that they had me sign like 50 of them & they packaged signed cards into random packs. Pretty cool. I think they paid me like $1,00o or something. Easy money… Oh, and check out my quote on the back. “Big Doubles, No Troubles.” Read into that one if you wish! LOL

The 2nd card is from JNCO. Remember them? The big ass jeans they used to make? Ha ha. They were a REALLY good sponsor of mine in the late 90′s. Shoot, the 3yrs that I rode for them paid for the 20% down payment on my house. JNCO!!!!

Check out the nappy dreads I had on both cards. Late 90′s styles!

It Was a BMX Society Weekend! http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/it-was-a-bmx-society-weekend/ http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/it-was-a-bmx-society-weekend/#comments Mon, 07 Jun 2010 19:13:57 +0000 Todd http://toddlyons.com/?p=1669 Wow, this past weekend was a busy one! The annual BMX Society old-school BMX Show & gathering went down on Saturday. It was a SUPER fun day! We set up the SE tents & has a ton of bikes on display. There were 100′s & 100′s of OG BMX bikes from back in the day. Some of these guys have $1,000′s put into their bikes from the 80′s. Brings back so many memories. So cool! And also, of course there were a ton of old-school BMX pros in attendance. And yes, even more old-school than me! Ha ha. Dave Voleker, Martin Aparijo, Eddie Fiola, Woody Itson, Perry Kramer, Dennis Dane, Jeff Utterback, Mike Dominguez, Brian Blyther, and a TON of other old-school heads. Peep pics!

Straight OG SE bikes right there!

Deadlines… http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/deadlines/ http://toddlyons.com/2010/06/deadlines/#comments Wed, 02 Jun 2010 15:01:12 +0000 Todd http://toddlyons.com/?p=1657 So I woke up crazy early again yesterday (still on a bit of Asian timezone) at 5:30am & was pretty much at my desk ’till 10:30pm. Four & a half hours of that was a conference call with my work peeps in Philly. But the rest of the time (like 13hrs) was spent working on the direction of the SE 2011 catalog. Deadline is about a week away & it’s crunch time, fo sho.

Bullet points, intro paragraph, bike order, action photo selection, bike write-ups, parts & accessories list, page count, etc. You name it. I gotta figure it all out & give the info to our catalog designer. A shitload of work? Yes. Fun? Ahhh, kind of . Ha ha. I could think of better things to be doing. But in the end, when the catalog is done, I’ll be stoked.

The clock is ticking…

The last 5 years of SE catalogs.
